WHAT TO EXPECT

  • What is included in the price?

Every tour participant will receive a Mustang Integrity survival floatation suit to protect against the elements. Binoculars and sunglasses are available upon request. Dry bags are also available if you wish to keep your phone and other valuables from getting wet. Hand warmers can be purchased for an additional cost on inclement weather days, if desired.

  • Will you have the right size survival suit for me?

We have sizes ranging from XS to 3XL. The minimum size requirement is 100lbs and a 30" chest, while the maximum is 350lbs and a 58" chest.

  • Is there a washroom onboard?

There is no access to a washroom while on board the boat. We recommend relieving yourself before checking in at the dock.

  • What can I bring with me?

We recommend your phone and/or camera gear (dry bags available upon request), sunscreen, snacks and a watter bottle.

  • What should I wear?

Layers with long sleeves and pants are the best as it might get cold on the water with wind and/or rain. Closed toe shoes are a must, no flip-flops or sandals please. Sunscreen and sunglasses, or gloves and toque may be comfortable, depending on the weather.

  • Are your tours wheelchair accessible?

Our boat is not wheelchair accessible. All of our guests are required to walk down a ramp to the dock which can be quite steep at low tide. We can assist those with minor physical limitations to step aboard as the tubes of the boat are roughly level with the dock.

  • What are the chances of seeing whales or other wildlife?

Wild creatures make their own mysterious decisions, so we can never guarantee sightings. A lot depends on the season, tides, and time of day. Depending on our route, you may see eagles, ravens, herons or other seabirds, plus harbour seals and sea lions. On occasion, you may also see orcas, dolphins, porpoises, humpbacks, minke, or grey whales.

RESERVATIONS + CANCELLATIONS

  • Are reservations required?

Yes, we require all participants to book in advance through our website. This is so we have your contact information in the event of tour changes, as well as to ensure all participants sign the required waiver.

  • do tours ever get cancelled because of bad weather?

Our vessel can safety operate in conditions of up to 2 meter (6.5 foot) waves and/or 32 knot winds. If the weather forecast exceeds either of these maximums, guests will be offered two options: 1) a discounted inner harbour tour in nearby protected ocean inlets, 2) a 100% refund, or 3) top priority for rescheduling at a later date.

And yes, we still operate if it's raining. We do live in the rainiest City in Canada after all!

  • Do i get my money back if I cancel?

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time. A 75% refund will be processed if you cancel less than 24 hours prior to tour departure.

  • What are the enhanced refund terms?

During online checkout, you can select the Enhanced Refund Terms for an additional 8% of the booking value. If you cannot attend
